The Work Experience program simulates the actual work that you will be performing if you were working for a company. You will be assigned a project manager that will assign tasks for the sprint as it is done on the job. This program will help you gain real -world experience as if you have worked in the industry and you will also gain the knowledge and confidence that you need for interviews.
Before a person is ready to join our simulation program, they need to first complete a technical training. For example, if you want to be a python programmer, first you have to take classes on Python programming.
Once you have completed the simulation program, you now have the skills to approach interviews with confidence. You may choose to engage in production operations to solidify your domain knowledge while you continue interviewing.
So far so good. Impressive. Feed back from project manager is swift.
It is a program for people who are serious about addressing their own weaknesses and getting critical help. You never feel like a numerical business factor in this program and you learn real strategy.
At the moment the program seems very basic but I am only about 3 weeks into the program.... UPDATE: Linuxjobber DevOps work experience program is a great and fantastic idea that brings you closer to understanding the day-to-day life of a DevOps professional. It is an extension to your traditional IT training but takes it one step further giving you that hands on experience and an opportunity to learn deeper and troubleshoot task. Things you do not have opportunity to do in your traditional training. The team is very patient and quick to respond. The program is broken down into modules which helps explore different tools covered by each module at a time giving you enough opportunity to explore documentations for the time period the task is due. Coming into the program, my exceptions were to be exposed to the tools used in most environments, have an opportunity to work on a "project" like I will potentially do in an actual workplace. Where I will be able to build CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot common issues, build and deploy applications. In a nutshell be in the life of a DevOps engineering during the program so I am able to carry out conversations and complete tasks with minimal assistance. My exceptions have been met about 70%, as I feel that the program can be a little more rigorous so the trainee would have a chance to explore some of the tools deeper. So far most of the task does not drive the trainee to do a deep dive into the tools. About 30-40% of the tasks are the basics you cover in your traditional training programs. I have never worked as a DevOps engineer so I might be over thinking. Overall, I will recommend the program and I believe it is helpful.

The work experience program gives me the opportunity to refer back to most of the topics I learnt while in class, and utilize it in the WE; even though it is still an ongoing experience for me.
My regret is not joining the work experience earlier, I was hesitating due to the fee. Happy I joined, I got the chance to apply my knowledge to real world task by researching to execute those task :)
This program boosted my confidence level. I was exposed to new programs and service that I couldn't have know by just getting trained. My only regret was that I didn't know about this program earlier.
Linuxjobber did an excellent job on the working experience progam by gathering everyone, the tech leads and students to an assigned Tasks provide your status . This really helped everyone feel like they were part of the process and the program gives me a alot of confidence to working on live servers . I also liked how they asked everyone a question related to their expertise. It was a great way to encourage participation. Working with this program is a great example of true teamwork. Before I joined the team I thought it was like a scam but I gave it the benefit of doubt which turned positive . I would like to encourage linuxjobber to keep it up. Nicely done!
The work experience program gave me valuable experience with how IT teams might operate in real working conditions with tools that I see many hiring companies constantly ask their applicants to have.
Learn Linux, Nginx, Ansible & Docker before enrolling
Cons: Poorly structured, overpriced/Payment plan, poor value for money, sometimes inflexible.
The tech leads are very knowledgeable and helpful. I found the program very challenging and rewarding. Exactly what I needed.
It was a great learning experience.
